Terms of Use
Early Access, clearly stated.
DashMic is in Free Early Access. These terms explain the current rules while the product, licensing, and commercial model are still being finalized.
Last updated: September 25, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By using dashmic.com, connecting a Tesla account, using DashMic Live Lyrics, or choosing to receive DashMic product updates, you agree to these Terms of Use and the DashMic Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Early Access status
DashMic is currently a pre-release product. Features may change, disappear, break, or be unavailable without notice. Access may be limited, paused, or ended while testing, licensing, security, or product work continues.
Using Free Early Access or joining the optional email-updates list does not guarantee a launch date, future pricing, feature availability, or continued service. No payment or credit card is currently required. Free Early Access is not a promise that DashMic will remain free forever.
3. Tesla authorization and third-party accounts
You may connect only a Tesla account and vehicle that you are authorized to use. Tesla authentication and data access are provided through Tesla's systems and remain subject to Tesla's own terms, availability, and policies.
DashMic is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Tesla, Inc. References to Tesla describe compatibility and integration only.
4. Safe use in a vehicle
DashMic is designed as a display experience, not a substitute for attentive driving. You are responsible for obeying traffic laws and using the product only when it is safe and lawful to do so.
Do not type, configure settings, read lengthy text, troubleshoot, or otherwise interact with DashMic in a way that distracts you while driving. A passenger should handle interactions when appropriate, or wait until the vehicle is safely parked.
5. Read-only product design
DashMic currently uses Tesla Vehicle Information access for the lyrics experience. It does not provide vehicle commands, charging controls, autonomous-driving functions, or music playback controls. Do not rely on DashMic for any vehicle-safety or vehicle-control function.
6. Lyrics, artwork, and media information
Lyrics, artwork, metadata, and related media information may come from third-party providers. Availability, synchronization quality, repertoire coverage, spelling, timing, and artwork matching can vary by track and provider.
A song playing successfully in your vehicle does not guarantee that synchronized lyrics will be available in DashMic. DashMic may change providers or remove content when required by licensing, rights, technical, or product decisions.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use DashMic to interfere with the service, bypass access controls, obtain another person's account or vehicle data, probe private APIs without authorization, distribute secrets or tokens, overload the service, or use the product unlawfully.
You may not present yourself as DashMic, falsely claim affiliation with DashMic, or use DashMic branding in a way that creates confusion about sponsorship or endorsement.
8. DashMic intellectual property
The DashMic name, branding, website design, software, product logic, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you permission to use the service as provided; they do not transfer ownership of DashMic intellectual property to you.
Third-party names, music, lyrics, artwork, trademarks, and other content remain the property of their respective owners.
9. Availability and warranties
During Early Access, DashMic is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. DashMic does not promise uninterrupted operation, complete lyric coverage, perfect synchronization, compatibility with every Tesla software version, or error-free third-party integrations.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DashMic will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from Early Access use, service interruptions, third-party services, unavailable content, or misuse of the product.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Suspension or termination
DashMic may suspend or end access when necessary for security, legal compliance, licensing, abuse prevention, technical maintenance, or the Early Access testing process. You may stop using DashMic at any time and can contact support for help with disconnecting or deleting information associated with your account.
12. Changes to the service or these terms
DashMic will evolve during Early Access. If these terms change materially, the date above will be updated and, where appropriate, affected users will be notified before the new terms apply.
13. Future paid subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds
DashMic is currently free during Early Access and does not require a credit card. If paid monthly or annual subscriptions are introduced later, cancelling a subscription will stop future automatic renewal. Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by applicable law, access will continue through the end of the billing period already paid for.
Paid subscription charges are planned to be generally non-refundable and cancellation will not automatically produce a prorated refund for unused time. DashMic may approve refunds in exceptional circumstances, and nothing in this policy limits refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. Final commercial terms will be presented before any customer is charged.
14. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without limiting any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived in your jurisdiction.
